Will Draw for Smiles
ABOUT ME

I inherited a love for cartoons from my grandfather. As a child, I spent hours in front of the TV with him chuckling at Warner Bros. cartoons. His beer belly would jiggle, like a bowl full of Jell-O, as he watched the Road Runner zoom across the TV screen shouting "BEEP, BEEP!", Tom and Jerry sharing a cat and mouse chase or Elmer Fudd wandering around...hunting wabbits. (Buggs Bunny rocks. )
My pépère (grandfather in Canadian French) didn't speak much English, but he understood the slapstick-physical-comedy. I didn't speak French, so it was hard to communicate with him, but it didn't matter. We shared the common language of visual humor. I'll never forget those moments with my grandfather and will always be grateful to him for sharing his passion.
One day, my grandfather was sitting in his recliner chair watching (you guessed it) cartoons. He suffered a heart attack and passed away. It's comforting to know that he spent the last few moments of his life laughing and doing what he loved most...enjoying his favorite animated friends.
Many years have passed, and I haven't forgotten the impact my grandfather had on me. Because of him, I began to create my own cartoon characters and started thinking how I could use them to brighten someone's day. It's nice to reach for a coffee mug and find a wide-eyed cow looking back at you, or open a greeting card and on the cover is sarcastic old lady wishing you a happy birthday, or a bright yellow cartoon sun smiling up at you from your mouse pad. The possibilities are endless.
This website was created in honor of my pépère and to share my illustrations. Hoping to expose you to the wonderful world of cartoons...like my grandfather did for me. My goal is to make you smile or (better yet) laugh... even if you don't have a beer belly that shakes like Jell-O.
For all you Looney Tunes fans out there, "Tha-That-That's All, Folks!”
